Due to past or ongoing human economic activity, the soil is contaminated and polluted by various hazardous chemicals. The problem of pollution reduction is a worldwide problem. As it is no longer possible to change the past, the only solution is to find the optimal management method for each contaminated site and work to eliminate or at least limit pollution.
Our vision is to develop a mobile soil cleaning bioreactor where contaminated soil is cleaned using the unique properties of microorganisms to promote pollutant degradation or transformation. In case, soil can be cleaned near the polluted site, it avoids the cost of transporting the soil to treatment sites, using additional materials and emitting greenhouse gases. After the cleaning period, the cleaned soil can be returned to where it was taken on close distance.
